Flying to Palm Beach
How long does the flight from New York take?
About two and a half hours from Teterboro, depending on the aircraft and the winds. Westchester is similar.
Which airport is best for the island?
President Donald J. Trump International (DJT), called Palm Beach International until 2026, a short drive across the Intracoastal. For houses further south or north, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale Executive or North County may suit better.
Can a large jet land at DJT?
Yes. DJT’s runways suit every category, including large cabin and ultra long range jets.
Can we fly in from the Bahamas or abroad?
Yes. The operator arranges customs clearance on arrival and submits passenger details in advance.
Booking the season
How early should we book Christmas?
For the fortnight from Christmas to New Year, we suggest eight to twelve weeks ahead, or as soon as your plans are firm.
Can you plan the whole winter at once?
Yes. Send the dates you know and we will price them together, with suggestions on when to confirm each one.
Are empty legs available in season?
Sometimes, especially northbound around the holidays when aircraft return empty. They are fixed in route and time and can be cancelled if the original trip changes.
Price
What is in the price?
The flying and positioning, airport and handling charges, crew costs, the 7.5% federal excise tax and segment fees. Extras such as catering are itemized.
Is a membership or deposit needed?
No. Quotes are free; payment terms are set out in the charter agreement when you book.
Why does the same trip cost more at Christmas?
Mostly positioning: when the nearest aircraft are booked, the one you fly may come from further away. Booking early widens the choice.
The day itself
Where does the journey begin?
At the private terminal named in your itinerary. Your driver takes you to its door, and bags go straight to the aircraft.
May the dogs come?
On many aircraft, with the operator’s approval. Tell us about them when you request.
What if it snows at Teterboro?
Winter departures from the north can need de-icing, which is billed when used, and the pilot in command decides when it is safe to fly. Your advisor keeps you informed of any change.
